Kathryn Mohr - "Carve" LP (black vinyl)

Kathryn Mohr’s Carve was written over five years and recorded alone in a rural singlewide in the Mojave Desert. Working with acoustic guitar and field recordings, the Bay Area artist shapes songs that explore love as something inseparable from grief.

The album draws on Mohr’s return to the American Southwest for the first time since childhood, moving through landscapes where memory lingers in place and atmosphere. Written during a prolonged period of isolation and introspection, the songs reflect on distance, trust and the fragile process of reconnecting with others.

Mixed by Richard Chowenhill of Agriculture, Carve captures a quiet tension where intimacy and impermanence remain closely entwined.
